ODA — Oregon agriculture is getting older. The average age of Oregon’s farmers and ranchers is clearly rising, according to the most recent U.S. Census of Agriculture. As a result, the state’s agriculture director is concerned about the future, but hopeful that the industry can stay viable enough to attract and keep younger operators. Read more

ODFW offers pheasant hunting workshops in Medford, Corvallis and La Grande
SALEM, Ore. – New and beginning hunters will get a chance to practice shotgun skills and, perhaps, bag a bird at three pheasant hunts for adults being sponsored by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in September and October. According to Mark Newell, ODFW outdoor skills program coordinator, the hunting workshops are designed to introduce new hunters to the sport, and to help beginners hone their skills. Read more

The Imnaha alpha male, that has not been detected since May 31, was photographed by trail camera on Aug. 11, 2010. According to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, his collar is not functioning. Read more
