Merkley, Wyden Announce Over $4 Million for Oregon Universities and Community Colleges to Develop Programs for Disadvantaged Students

Back-In Angle Parking starts next week on Court and Dorion Ave. in downtown Pendleton

PENDLETON, Ore. – The City of Pendleton is implementing a safer parking alignment along sections of Court and Dorion avenues in downtown Pendleton. As part of the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Court/Dorion Paving project several blocks of head-in angle parking spaces will be replaced with back-in angle parking. Back-in angle parking has helped reduce the number of crashes in dozens of cities across the U.S. that result when motorists are backing out of a parking space into on coming traffic.
